1.Charging of low-temperature lithium batteries
The charging termination voltage of a single low-temperature lithium battery is 4.2V, and it cannot be overcharged, otherwise the battery will be scrapped due to the loss of too many positive lithium ions. When charging low-temperature lithium batteries, constant-current and constant-voltage chargers should be adopted. First, the voltage across the low-temperature lithium battery is 4.2V, and then it is transferred to the constant-voltage charging mode; when the constant-voltage charging current drops to 100mA, the charging should be ended.
2.Discharge of low-temperature lithium batteries
Because of the internal structure of the low-temperature lithium battery, the lithium ions cannot all move to the positive during discharge. A part of the lithium ions must be kept in the negative to ensure that the lithium ions may be smoothly embedded in the channel during the next charge.Otherwise, the battery life will be shortened. In order to ensure that there are local lithium ions left in the graphite layer after discharge, the discharge termination voltage must be strictly limited, which means that low-temperature lithium batteries cannot be over-discharged.The discharge termination voltage of a single low-temperature lithium battery is usually 3.0V, not lower than 2.5V.The battery discharge time is related to the battery capacity and the size of the discharge current.
